The question that I was asked repeatedly whether on my interviews for medical schools, family medicine residency, or every job interview since then was “How did you get from being a contemporary dancer to being an integrative medical doctor?” I’ll tell you how I got there, yoga. My life up until my first yoga class was steeped in the discipline, creativity, and traditions of contemporary dance and choreography. But my first yoga class sent my life in a completely different direction.  During that class, I realized the amazing potential of yoga as a mind-body practice to improve and maintain optimal health and wellbeing. During this same time in my life I was challenged by a series of health crisis and found healing through both Western medicine and through complementary medical practices such as mind-body medicine. Through my study of yoga and meditation and through my personal health struggles I was inspired to returned to school to become an integrative medical doctor in order to help others to find their path optimum health and wellbeing.

I received my Medical doctorate (MD) and specialized in integrative medicine and mind-body therapies including Restorative Breathwork®, therapeutic yoga, meditation, and medical hypnosis.

I am board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine,  the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine, and by the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis. I am a Registered Yoga Instructor through the Yoga Alliance RYT-500 and am a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. I am also a certified Restorative Breathwork® Facilitator through the Barrett Breath Institute.

Combining ancient Eastern practices with modern medical knowledge, I offer an integrative approach to health, healing, and personal development.
